There are many reasons why real born again christains are living in poverty. Some are spiritual attacks, while others are facing it due to trials. As test for their faith.... But l want to point out another important reason which have mostly be neglected.... Most born again christains are beast in sheep clothes.. When they are poor you find them serving God with all truth and sincererity, they are generally kind with everyone, and shows genuine love. But when God makes them rich, they suddenly become pompus, indifferent, and dangerous. I have seen many born again christains who becomes worster than unbelievers Immedately they start making money. The fact is that God knows what your heart and your actions will be when you become rich... So as to avoid you giving him additional headech, he decides to let you be like that... So as a christain who have been praying for wealth with out reciving the answer. you should be sincere with your self and analyze the true motives behind your seeking for wealth... (Is it for the glory of God or for self glorification?) if your motives are not clean then you may be having issue with God granting your request.answer this question to your self. Will you give a gun to your child that you know he is very violent... If not so why do you expect God to give you money? !!!

most are simply poor (emotionally/financially) because they foolishly believe that some criminal in robe pastor is going to perform a miracle and they will suddenly become gazillionaire, and therefore they keep giving their hard earn cash to that criminal, instead of using that to better their lives/themselves.

Lack of good financial management plan is what makes them poor. For an average christian household (husband, wife and 2kids) with a total combined income of 60k of which a large percentage of christians fall into when you practice silly things as First Fruits (First Month Salary), 10% monthly payment a.k.a Tithes, Seed sowing practices a.k.a bribing the christian god to make you rich e.t.c on that meagre amount you will ever remain poor and even get worse.

God only allowed the devil to attack job spiritually only on that day, it was just a test to prove the devil wrong which he was proved wrong.
it has never happened like that again since then, it will never happen to any christian that God will allow the devil attack him when he is living a holy life like job did
so, if any bad thing like poverty happen to any christian, it is not because God allowed it, it is because the christian who is affected allowed the devil to come in by giving himself into ignorance that lead to sin, or his progeny or parents commited the sin sometime ago, then he now inherited the consequence.
For instance, a father who refuses to send his child to school, the child may inherit poverty at his adult age, he didn't do anything bad , his father did it.
so, most problems christians or anybody go through(because christians are not different from anyone else on earth ) is not Gods doing, it is as a result of ignorance on the side of the person.

God does not test his children because he cannot be overcome by evil James1vs 13-14 "let no one says when he is tempted " I am tempted by God"for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt any one. Another word for temptation is test.So most christians who believe they are being tested are being fed with lies from the pit of hell.It could be demonic attack i:e curse or sin and it could be ignorant of God's will for them as long as you are ignorant of God's will for your life satan will take you for a ride. Most christians believe riches should come overnight yes at times God work in the miraculous but at other times He wants to be our sustainance by giving us our daily bread i:e he provides when we are in need which is also known as Grace which is when debt are to be paid house rent, feeding, school fees we will not be put to shame as long as we depend on Him(faith),A typical example is Elijah and the widow of Zarephath.The more we depend on Him the more we entrust our lives to Him,The more He sustain us. That is why you see some people don't earn much like 50k you will think they earn 150k while some people earn much and they have nothing to show for it. It is called GRACE working through FAITH.

Op, it is unhealthy to assert that God can allow darkness to attack his creatures simply in order to test their faith.

Let us put aside the biblical account as regards jobs temptation and draw more closer to logic here, as we know that the omniscience of God is not simply anchored in any religious book.

Now, you have disobedient children and want them to submit to your principle. In your endeavour to ensure their compliance would you ignorantly forsake them at the mercy of your enemy? Naturally, no. But you will reasonably bent on using wise admonitions on them, at least it is in accord with the law of justice.

If you human being can be reasonable as not to forsake your children at the mercy of your enemy in order to make them abide in your principle, then, HOW MUCH MORE GOD.
